This is where these three saviours come in.

Lactic Acid gently desquamates mature skin cells, supporting natural cell turnover improving skin texture. This speeds up the healing process and quickly reduces both the size and redness of blemishes. Lactic Acid is a component of the skin’s natural moisturising factor (NMF), which is a blend of compounds naturally found in the skin that helps it hold on to moisture. It also increases ceramide production, helping to repair skin barrier function, preventing moisture loss and protecting the skin from environmental damage.

Salicylic Acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA), which works to support a visibly clarified complexion by decongesting and exfoliating from within the pores. Unlike alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which are water-soluble, BHAs are oil soluble. This property allows salicylic acid to penetrate the hair follicle and oil gland and effectively dissolve blemish causing blockages of mature skin cells, oil and other debris – making it especially effective for oily and blemish-prone skin. (Plus, it reduces the amount of oil being produced by your oil glands, preventing the formation of new blemishes.) Salicylic Acid also has anti-inflammatory properties that helps reduce both redness and swelling.

Niacinamide (also known as vitamin B3) strengthens weakened skin by boosting the production of ceramides, improves uneven skin tone by inhibiting the transfer of melanin and reduces the impact of environmental damage as well as calming inflammation – effectively reducing the appearance of blemishes, post inflammatory erythema and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
