Dosing
When formulating or recommending a supplement, the question of how much matters as much as what. At SKIN WISDOM®, we keep a clear nutritional mandate:
 Our products are food supplements, not functional medicines.
 Our role is to offer the best nutrition possible, always within nutritional levels.
 We do not attempt to bypass nutritional pathways or rely on megadosing with single nutrients or enzymes.

A single SKIN WISDOM® product can take years to bring to life. Each begins as a concept, then moves through careful research, formulation, and analysis before arriving at a finished blend that meets both safety and integrity. It is slow work, but that is how precision is built.

Quality Assurance
Of all the qualities that define our company, perhaps the one we hold most proudly is our attention to sourcing. We go to painstaking lengths to secure the finest ingredients available, guided by an independent procurement policy that allows us to look globally and choose only what meets our standards.

Vitaflavan
Grapeseed extract can be sourced from almost anywhere – North or South America, China, India, Europe, or Australia. We have found that the most consistent quality comes from the South of France, where Chardonnay grapes with naturally high polyphenol content are selected and fermented. From this process comes Vitaflavan, an ingredient both extraordinary and well-researched. It features in our ROSEHIP CONNECTIVE COMPLEX.

Vitamin C
As one of the most widely used nutrients, Vitamin C remains essential. Our method is simple: the vitamin is first activated, then combined with potassium or magnesium to form a gentle mineral salt of ascorbic acid. This creates a version more easily used by the body. As a buffered form, it also protects sensitive digestive systems – a detail that matters deeply to us.

Lacidophilus
Lactobacillus is perhaps the best-known biotic organism in the supplement world. We use it, among others, across several formulations. While many probiotic strains originate from dairy or vegetables, SKIN WISDOM® products use humanstrain organisms. On a biological level, this makes them more naturally relevant to those who take them.

SUPPLEMENTS HOLD ENORMOUS POTENTIAL

The right ones can change how a person experiences their own health by offering clear, well-built nutrition in a form the body can use. They can be lifesupporting, particularly for those with greater sensitivity – but it helps to understand what they are, and what they are not.

By law, supplements are classed as foods and must meet the same basic definitions. Some describe themselves as “food-based” or “plant-based,” and while this language sounds reassuring, it is only partly true. A supplement at its best provides concentrated building blocks of food – a guiding bridge to better nutrition – but it is never food itself.

No supplement is truly natural. Even those produced with the cleanest intentions cannot be made in a home kitchen. Each involves isolating and concentrating active compounds, fermenting, stabilising, and protecting them to remain effective. This technological process allows remarkable consistency and potency, but it is still a transformation – not a natural occurrence.

All supplements, ours included, require additives. These are not shortcuts but essential components that preserve the integrity of nutrients. Additives ensure that ingredients stay active, stable, and bioavailable, sometimes for years. Among their roles:
 Disintegrants help a capsule or tablet break down in the digestive system rather than passing through unchanged.
 Diluents act as carriers, allowing precise blending of microquantities like Vitamin D so that every capsule contains an even dose.
 Lubricants keep ingredients moving smoothly during manufacture and digestion, and create the coating that makes a tablet easier to swallow.

To think of additives purely as negatives is to overlook their purpose. They make supplements more foodlike, not less. Without them, vitamins and minerals would behave like isolated chemicals, sometimes irritating the digestive tract or becoming unstable when exposed to air and moisture. Proper additives protect against oxidation and humidity – without them, even vital nutrients can lose their value.

At SKIN WISDOM®, we choose excipients carefully and only where they genuinely serve the product’s function. Every material used is listed openly on our labels. Transparency matters to us as much as efficacy. While many supplement manufacturers omit the details of compound ingredients – a loophole that can make a product appear more “natural” than it is – we believe that if an ingredient is present, it should be declared, however small the quantity.

The role of additives is often underestimated. While we always aim to make our products as natural as possible, expectations must remain grounded. A supplement cannot be all things to everyone. Its purpose is to be safe, reliable, and active. Using the right additives allows it to be exactly that.
